“四時天氣促相催，一夜薰風帶暑來”。每年公歷5月5日至7日，當北斗七星的斗柄指向東南方，便是立夏的時刻。立夏標志著春天的結束，夏天的開始，因此也被稱為“春盡日”。

“Four seasons urge each other on; overnight， the warm breeze brings the heat.“ Every year， around May 5th to 7th， when the handle of the Big Dipper points to the southeast， it marks the arrival of the Beginning of Summer. This solar term signifies the end of spring and the beginning of summer， and is also known as the “End of Spring.“

自此，大地迎來夏天的熱情擁抱。綠蔭鋪野，薰風拂面，小荷初露，蜻蜓點水，一派清新宜人的景象。

From this point on， the earth embraces the warmth of summer. The fields are shaded by lush greenery， gentle breezes caress the face， lotus buds begin to emerge， and dragonflies skim the water's surface—creating a scene of refreshing beauty.

在中國，立夏有著豐富的習俗，在這一天，人們有“稱人”的習俗，人們稱量體重，寓意夏日安康；煮上鮮嫩的立夏蛋，互相碰撞，祈愿生活圓滿；還要“嘗三新”——此時櫻桃紅透，青梅煮酒，新麥飄香，將“三新”一口咬下，滿是初夏的鮮甜。

In China， the Beginning of Summer is rich with traditional customs. On this day， people practice the custom of “weighing people，” where individuals are weighed to symbolize health and well-being during the summer. They also boil tender “Beginning of Summer eggs，” which are then tapped together， wishing for a fulfilling life. Additionally， people “taste the three new things”—at this time， cherries turn bright red， plums are brewed in wine， and fresh wheat fills the air with its fragrance. Biting into these “three new things” is like savoring the sweetness of early summer.
